Background/Server Printer and Printer Configuration (PRTMOD )

The module provides the functionality required to print and manage printing functions.

PRTMOD is used to print out documents from the Workflow within SRVPRT. It can also be used elsewhere when documents are to be printed automatically outside the Workflow's print service.

PRTMOD contains functions to configure and run a print out of the content of an XML panel (e.g. printing out an accompanying sheet or a transfer log).

The following steps are necessary before the module can be used in a service, for example:_

• Add an instance of PRTMOD to the service
• Run “PRTMOD.GetCfgFromIni” in the “init”of the Service to load the configuration data from the section indicated for the respective .ini file.
• When leaving the transaction (in “setserviceini” of the service) run “PRTMOD.SetCfgToIni” to save the configuration data in the section mentioned for the respective .ini file.
• Use the PRTCFG assembly panel on the configuration panel for the service (to input the configuration).
• Define an XML panel with (at least) one document rule
• Launch PRTMOD.PrintPanel for the print out

PrintPanel executes the output of the transferred XML panel, including forwarding it to the configured print system in accordance with the configuration data visible in PRTCFG, the transferred context information 'User', 'User Group' and 'Entity' and in accordance with data stored in the configuration.
