Display a business contract / Contract overview (SEL Panel)

General

When a user conducts a search for a contract in the contract selection panel, the overview of the business associated with the reference is displayed in the work area of the main monitor.

All the transactions permitted for the selected business are shown in the menu on the left. A transaction can be launched by clicking on the relevant menu entry.

The contract overview in the work area consists of several elements. These are filled with the currently valid dates and status information in accordance with the underlying business, in effect providing a file summary.

The most important information about the selected contract, i.e., references, amounts, parties and the most important date fields or periods, is shown in the left-hand side of the work area.

Shown above the work area, to the left, are the icons , and .

The right-hand side of the work area is divided into four information elements:

ToDo list for the selected contract

The ToDo list shows all open queue entries ( see Selecting pending Queue Entries ) for the selected contract. This includes items such as transactions awaiting release, paused or registered transactions, and diary events queued for processing.

Positioned near the top right edge of the ToDo list is the or ('paperclip' without/with attachment symbolism) icon. It represents a facility for attaching and managing files to the currently selected contract. Drag and drop any type of file onto this icon in order to attach it. This performance will open a pop-up giving the user various options in the context of adding a memo text, etc.

In addition to entering text and setting a number of parameters relating to the file, it is also possible the delete the file () or edit its description (). The deletion will obviously only affect the copy created as an attachment, not the original file. Clicking the little 'magnifier' icon in the box near the pop-up dialog will open the file itself for your scrutiny. Note that this will only work if the host machine knows how the deal with the file format.

Processing can be started directly by double-clicking on an element, or by clicking on the icons above an element. Only the icons that are permitted for the selected type are shown as active (black). Inactive icons are shown in gray.

For example, if the selected contract is an import letter of credit with various document tenders and financed document sets, then all linked contracts and their references will be displayed.

Double-clicking on the respective contracts allows the user to switch directly to the display for the (sub)contract, making it easy to navigate between the linked contracts.

Contract Overview

The contract overview displays all the important information about a contract. Depending on the business sector, there may be additional information specific to the business sector.

History of the selected contract

This element displays all the historical transactions, i.e., transactions already saved, for the selected contract in the form of a list. The checkbox “Only active transactions” can be used to shorten the list by excluding deleted or corrected transactions. Double-clicking an item in the list will display a pop-up panel showing the most important information for the transaction, such as signatures, messages and display files. The complete history of the contract can be accessed via the information system and can be called up using the [i] button shown next to the reference number.
