After starting the transaction the “Search Panel” is displayed. After entering (parts of) the text module ID, the description (name of the text module) and/or the language, the icon must be clicked. The text module ID is the internal identification of the text module and is made up of the group ID (name of one of the groups that can be selected under combobox “Group”) and the module ID (max. length: eight digits).
The groups are stored internally in codetable “TXMTXT - Text Module”. This table can be edited via transaction “Maintain Codetables” (SYSTBL), if required. If necessary, new groups can be added to the TXMTXT codetable.
Furthermore the name, the available user language, and the version number of a text module are displayed in the result list. In case there are multiple versions of a text module available, those can be displayed by clicking the and .
Text Module ID = Group ID + Module ID
LCRDOC.CERTHEAL = LCRDOC + CERTHEAL
This example is about the freight document 'Certificate of health', which is one of the text modules which can be found under group 'Documents L/C'. The text module ID can have a maximum length of 15 digits.
If a new text module has to be created, a preferably descriptive name has to be used (like in the example above). The module ID is a composition of the mnemos:
CERTHEAL –> 'CERT ' for certificate and 'HEAL' for health
The text modules that match the previously defined selection criteria (in the upper part of the panel) are displayed in the selection list.
After selecting a text module (by double-clicking an entry or by marking an entry and subsequently clicking the icon) further details about the text module will be displayed on the “ext Module” panel. These detailed information contain all data available in the database for the selected text module.
“General Information” can be found under preceding link.
A detailed description of the fields and information for handling text modules can be found under “Maintaining Text Modules”.
