This transaction is used to transfer source elements between sources of different environments (“Merges”).

The transaction should be started in the target environment, as only in this case it is possible to check out the relevant sources directly from GENXFS. When starting the transaction it is checked, if a ticket number is stored in the target environment. Any existing ticket number is shown and can be reset to value 'space'.

With the first checkout of a file a prompt comes up, asking for the current ticket number. Any further checkout in the same session will not bring up the prompt again.

Default process is to compare files with the same name but from different environments, maybe even different releases. When selecting the checkbox 'Allow Different Filenames' it is possible to compare files with different names. If this checkbox is selected, no checkout of additional files is possible.

A new empty file in the target environment can be created using the button 'Create Empty'.
