Matching in the application provides quick access to information.

The user enters part of a description or code in the relevant field (e.g. part of the reference number, or part of the address code for a bank or customer). All entries that match this particular search term appear in a selection list along with further detailed information; the user can decide on the basis of such detailed information whether the data record searched for is available or not. A click on the data record desired will then result in all the information belonging to this data record being loaded in the target field / transaction.

A magnifying glass is shown alongside fields whose contents can be searched from within the database. Clicking the magnifying glass will open an extended search function that allows more detailed searches to be carried out.
