Each document that is generated is assigned a page format, e.g., A4, or Letter.

The page format contains page layout information such as paper size, margins and positioning, as well as the size of headers/footers. It is saved in the xxx.xsi file in the ini path.

The transaction Maintaining Document Formattings (DBIXSI) can be used to maintain these page formats. The transaction also sets out the options available, and their meaning. Among other variables, the transaction allows the typeface, the type size as well as the width and height of the page to be set.
