Manager for Automatic Execution of Migration Items

Transaction MIGTSK

This Task Manager facilitates the automatic processing of contracts to be migrated from legacy system. It picks up '.mig' files from from the 'migration' directory, whereby both directory and extension can be set on the “Migration” panel.

The files contains the data from a legacy system contract in :TAG: data format, similar to SWIFT or DTA messages. The details about the TAG:DATA format can be found in “migsup.ini” file.

Here, contract data and the details for each liability entry are transferred in single files.

After retrieving the file, the relevant migration transaction is started and the contract is processed.

* File names must NOT contain an underscore. MIGTSK swaps this for a space, and then cannot find the file *

Detailed explanation, tag mappings for each business sector can be found using the below links:

If the transaction is processed successfully, it is saved; otherwise it is set to repair.

It makes sense to configure the migration transactions in such a way that no manually release is necessary.

More information on migration can be found under Migration.

Tracing of Transactions

Transactions, which are being run via this transaction can be traced by starting the MIGTSK in the foreground and activating the wanted debug switches. The transaction MIGTSK will pass its own debug switches as commandline parameters to the transactions which have been initiated by the MIGTSK.
