The task of the job system is to be able to set up and configure tasks to be executed periodically from the application user interface.

Jobs consist of information as to when and how the job is to be executed as well as of the settings and parameters to be used for execution.

The jobs entered in the job system can be interactively executed by the user calling up the job. To this end, the jobs can be called up via job execution transaction (“Interactive Launch of Selected Job”) from the selection list of defined jobs.

Alternatively, jobs can also be executed automatically in the background by time repetitive at predefined times, at definable intervals by the “Job Manager” (JOBTSK).
