Export collections are documentary collections received from the company's own customer, acting as principal for the collection order. This collection is forwarded to a correspondent bank, acting as the collecting bank. If this bank is identical to the drawee's bank, it presents the documents to the drawee against acceptance of the conditions.

If documents are purchased (sight) or discounted (usance) a sub-contract BP (advance) is created and associated to the export collection. This requires the separate business sector “Advance” to be installed.
