Ordering Customer

Incoming Payments: The applicant is customer of the applicant's bank and can be entered freely, if an applicant bank has been selected from the static data. It is usually not a customer of the bank using the application.

Outgoing Payments: The applicant is a customer of the bank using the application (can also be another department or branch of the bank using the application).

Transit Payment: The applicant is a customer of the applicant's bank and can be entered freely, if an applicant bank has been selected from the static data. It is usually not a customer of the bank using the application.

(*) If no applicant has been entered for the payment, ORC has to be a database address. A temporary address is not allowed.

(**) If some banks are to be available as applicant or payee, those banks have to be marked as 'Customer' and as 'Bank' (i.e. both address types have to be selected).

Ordering Institution

Incoming Payment: The applicant bank instructs the bank using the application on behalf of its customer to make a payment to the payee.

Outgoing Payment: In the case of outgoing payments there is usually no applicant bank, as the bank using the application receives the payment order from their customer (applicant).

Transit Payment: In the case of a transit payment there is always an applicant bank, i.e. there is always at least one bank before the bank using the application in the chain of payment (i.e. the bank which issued the payment order).

When an applicant bank is entered that address has to be a database address, in order to be able to debit the account of the bank.

Paying Bank

Incoming Payment: In the case of incoming payments, the bank using the application has the role of the paying bank, as it makes payments to their customer. Thus, no paying bank can be entered in the case of an incoming payment.

Outgoing Payment / Transit Payments: The paying bank is the bank that is instructed by the bank using the application to make a payment to the payee or to the next bank in the chain. Usually, it is the correspondence bank of the bank using the application and can therefore only be selected from the static data.

Payee

Incoming Payment: The final receiver of the payment. It is usually a customer of the bank using the application.

Outgoing Payment / Transit Payment: The final receiver of the payment. It is usually not a customer of the bank using the application.

Further Parties (Banks), which become involved in the payment process, are available on the standard settlement panel. The payment panel that is controlled via bookings on the settlement panel is a very important element in the business sector 'Clean Payment'.
