Transferring the Liability Party
Transaction GITTRF
This transaction is required if the applicant of a guarantee is to be replaced by another party. In this case, the previous applicant is relieved of its obligations under the guarantee and these obligations are transferred to the new applicant.
N.B.
- Multiple applicants - It is possible to replace only one applicant at a time. Therefore, in case multiple applicants are present in a contract, this transaction Transferring the Liability Party, is to be performed individually/separately for each applicant.
- Changes to the addresses of parties or to names - conditioned by mergers, for example - can be carried out in the maintenance function for the parties without having to change the number of the party.
Purpose
- entering the new applicant and relieving the previous applicant of its obligations;
- entering fees (the Settlement Panel is integrated in all transactions, and the question of whether commission and fees entered are to be charged can be determined on an individual transaction level).

Requirements
An existing Guarantee contract which is open and not closed.
Not allowed, if the handling type is “Guarantee received” or “Advise with/without confirmation”.
